Told Slant<\/a>, the solo project of Florist<\/a>\u2019s Felix Walworth, has a new album on the way. What\u2019s Up<\/em>, their first new record since 2020\u2019s Point the Flashlight and Walk<\/em><\/a>, arrives on September 4 via Mtn. Laurel Recording Co. Walworth also released a new song, \u201cManhattan,\u201d today. You can listen to that below.<\/p>\n In a press statement, Walworth called What\u2019s Up<\/em> their \u201cNew York record,\u201d which to them means exploring what happens when you dedicate yourself \u201csomewhat maniacally to the project of self expression and subculture in one of the most hostile environments on earth.\u201d Walworth played drums, bass, and guitar on the LP alongside Hannah Pruzinsky and their Florist bandmate Jonnie Baker. Ceci Sturman, Hellen Ballentine, Emily Sprague, Mari Rubio, and Elijah Wolf also feature.<\/p>\n Told Slant will also play three UK shows in November in support of What\u2019s Up<\/em>. The brief run includes dates in Brighton, Bristol, and London, where they\u2019ll play at MOTH Club as part of Pitchfork Festival London<\/a>.<\/p>\n
