Thornton has earned Best Actor in a Drama Series nominations from both the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics’ Choice Awards for his performance in Landman<\/em>.<\/p>\n Sheridan has made it clear that Emmy trophies aren’t what motivate him.<\/p>\n During a recent appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast<\/em><\/a>, the creator said his focus has always been on making shows that resonate with everyday viewers.<\/p>\n I’m pretty common, and I’m going to tell stories that common people are going to understand.
