Mick Jagger<\/a> insists he\u2019s not a control freak, despite having been described as such in the past.<\/p>\n The Rolling Stones<\/a> frontman recently appeared on the Conan O\u2019Brien Needs a Friend<\/em><\/a> podcast, where he and the comedian discussed a variety of topics from throughout Jagger\u2019s legendary career.<\/p>\n At one point, O\u2019Brien recalled watching Jagger backstage at an event and witnessing how involved he was with all of the show\u2019s details.<\/p>\n \u201cI looked back at Keith [Ricahrds]<\/a>, and I said, \u2018Was this Mick in 1962?\u2019\u201d O\u2019Brein remembered. \u201cHe said, \u2018Yes.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n READ MORE: Top 100 Rolling Stones Songs<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The former late night host then asked Jagger about his role as \u201cthe organizer, the manager, the guy who’s keeping it together\u201d in the Rolling Stones.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes I was called a control freak,\u201d Jagger admitted, \u201cbut I’m not a control freak at all. I like to delegate. The thing about doing this kind of thing is you delegate these big jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n Jagger admitted he regularly checks and approves various details for Rolling Stones events, from venue choice to special guests. One thing the rocker does before every show is look out and get a feel for the crowd.<\/p>\n \u201cYou’ve got to see the room full,\u201d he explained. \u201cWhat kind of people are there? How many people are there? What does the room feel like? I think that’s important\u2026 You do want to fill the room because how your behavior would be, how the audience is going to react.
