\n\tThe annual ESPYs kept the Knicks\u2019 NBA Championship celebration<\/a> going Wednesday with performances by four New York rap legends.<\/p>\n

\n\tLong Island\u2019s De La Soul<\/a> first took the stage at the Lincoln Center\u2019s David H. Koch Theater, encouraging the audience of athletes to take their feet during a medley that included snippets of \u201cStakes Is High\u201d and \u201cRun It Back!!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBronx-via-London\u2019s Slick Rick<\/a> opened his performance in the audience before taking the stage for an abridged version of his classic \u201cLa Di Da Di\u201d:<\/p>\n

\n\tJust weeks after Ghostface Killah<\/a> took part in the Wu-Tang Clan halftime performance <\/a>that potentially fueled one of the biggest second-half comebacks in basketball history, the Staten Island rapper opened his performance by repping fellow Wu rappers Raekwon (\u201cIce Cream\u201d) and Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard (\u201cShimmy Shimmy Ya\u201d) before launching into his own \u201cCherchez LaGhost.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFat Joe<\/a>, who was omnipresent during the Knicks\u2019 championship run<\/a>, closed out the show with his \u201cAll the Way Up,\u201d capping an award show that shared in the afterglow of the Knicks\u2019 win: Finals MVP Jalen Brunson won \u201cBest Championship Performance\u201d and \u201cBest NBA Player,\u201d OG Anunoby\u2019s last-second tip won \u201cBest Play,\u201d and the Knicks collectively won \u201cBest Team.\u201d<\/p>\n
