\n\tLiam Gallagher<\/a> did not enjoy the halftime show during the final match of the FIFA<\/a> World Cup on Sunday night. The Oasis<\/a> singer, who has been very vocal about the games throughout the sporting event, likened the performances<\/a> by Madonna<\/a>, Shakira, Justin Bieber<\/a>, BTS<\/a>, Burna Boy, composer Gustavo Dudamel, and the Muppets to a \u201cbad trip.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is like a bad trip,\u201d the musician wrote on X. \u201cIt\u2019s a good job I\u2019ve got my spiritual socks on or that halftime entertainment could have tipped me over the edge.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe halftime show began with a two-song performance by Madonna, who rode through New York New Jersey Stadium\u2019s underground tunnels in a golf cart driven by Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho while blazing through a new version of her 2000 hit \u201cMusic\u201d and her recent single \u201cDanceteria,\u201d from the fresh release\u00a0Confessions II<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBTS popped in to perform a few seconds of their hit \u201cDynamite,\u201d\u00a0while actor Jason Sudeikis came onto the pitch in character as Coach Ted Lasso, with his trusty deputy Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) by his side, in order to give a pep talk to Justin Bieber. Bieber then performed a rendition of his \u201cEverything Hallelujah.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe show also featured \u201cDai Dai,\u201d by Shakira and Burna Boy, and the PS 22 Chorus \u2014 a choir comprising fourth and fifth graders from a public elementary school in Staten Island \u2014 performing a song written by\u00a0Coldplay\u00a0called \u201cWe Dance,\u201d with frontman Chris Martin joining in.<\/p>\n

\n\tGallagher was perhaps disappointed by England\u2019s loss on Wednesday night, which opened the door to Argentina going up against Spain the final. Oasis\u2019 hit \u201cWonderwall\u201d had become the team\u2019s unofficial anthem<\/a> leading up to the semi-finals, with Gallagher leading the charge on its popularity. \u201cCmon England cmon Wonderwall,\u201d he wrote ahead of the match with Spain. <\/p>\n

\n\tOasis will release<\/a> Don\u2019t Look Back in Anger<\/em>,\u00a0the almost-shelved documentary<\/a>\u00a0about the Gallagher brothers\u2019 unlikely comeback, in September. The film was created by\u00a0Peaky Blinders<\/em>\u2019 Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and will open in IMAX and cinemas before arriving on Hulu and Disney+ later this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
