There are a few grandfathered-in traditions in country music that still stand the test of time. One of those is that the headliner of a tour gets the opener a gift at the end of the tour as a “thank you” for joining the ride.

Seldom do the openers get a gift for the headliners though. Gavin Adcock switched things up and decided to get a gift for Morgan Wallen.

On Instagram, Adcock explained that he ran into a dilemma when trying to pick out the perfect gift for Wallen: “I thought to myself, ‘What should I get somebody that can get anything in the world they want to buy themself?'”

Read More: Morgan Wallen Debuts Unreleased Single ‘Been By Now’ Onstage in Baltimore [Watch]

Adcock then opens what looks to be a giant laundry hamper and pulls out a taxidermied creation made up out of several different creatures.

“I been calling this thing right here Rufus. It’s a buck a– mount made into a little critter, with some eagle’s claws, some turkey feet and some bullhorns on the top.”

Adcock flips it around to show that it has a hanger in the back for Wallen to put it on one of his walls, saying “I can’t wait to see what he thinks.”

Whether you’re a fan of Rufus or you think he’s nightmare fuel, it’s hard to deny that this is something that Wallen almost certainly wouldn’t think to buy for himself. It’s the perfect gift for the man who has the whole world at his fingertips.

Gavin Adcock might be done opening shows for Wallen this year, but Wallen still has four more stops on his Still The Problem tour before he wraps it up for the year.

July 24 — Ann Arbor, Mich. @ Michigan Stadium (Thomas Rhett, Hudson Westbrook, and Blake Whiten) Honestly, Morgan Wallen could be considered one of the most important modern country artists based on the face that he’s released so much music on just a few albums. His projects have consistently been double albums since Dangerous arrived in 2021.

However, Wallen’s music is not just quantity, it’s quality and it has caught on with a wide audience – very wide. Despite his ups and downs in his career, he always brings raw honesty and self-deprecating content to his lyrics, making him a favorite among country music fans.

Plus, selling out stadiums back-to-back nights on his tours certainly shows how in-deman Wallen in.

We’ve rounded up this country hitmaker’s top 10 songs that prove his worth in the genre.

Writing the perfect country song can’t be easy. How do you sing about similar themes, but paint the picture differently?

It truly is an art form, and Wallen rounded up some of the best songwriters in the business to help him with his latest project, I’m the Problem. So we rounded up some of the best lyrics on the 37-track collection below.

Gallery Credit: Jess Rose

The Jaw-Dropping End of Tour Gift Gavin Adcock Got Morgan Wallen
