John Lydon<\/a> insists he\u2019ll never reconcile with his former Sex Pistols<\/a> bandmates.<\/p>\n The man formerly known as Johnny Rotten has never been afraid of issuing pointed comments regarding his previous band. Over the years, he\u2019s slammed the group\u2019s other members for reuniting without him<\/a> and approving the Danny Boyle-helmed miniseries Pistol<\/em><\/a>. Still, in a recent conversation with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, Lydon said it was a different issue that permanently ended his relationship with the other Sex Pistols.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll never forgive them for the way that they piled that court case on me while my wife was dying of Alzheimer\u2019s,\u201d the singer declared. \u201cIt was a most unfortunate act on their part, and then using Disney to strip-mine me.\u201d<\/p>\n Lydon\u2019s Disney remark was in reference to the Pistol<\/em> series. He sued to stop<\/a> the use of the Sex Pistols music on the show, only to lose and be faced with extensive fees. The legal battle took place in 2021, while the singer\u2019s wife, Nora Foster, was fighting Alzheimer\u2019s disease. She died in 2023<\/a> at the age of 80.<\/p>\n
