Detroit indie rocker Stef Chura<\/a> has returned with her first album in seven years<\/a>. Dancing Alone on the Concrete<\/em> is out October 2 on Saddle Creek, and features contributions from R.E.M.\u2019s Peter Buck and Mike Mills on lead single \u201cDanny.\u201d Apples in Stereo\u2019 co-founder and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea<\/a><\/em> producer Robert Schneider handled production across the LP.<\/p>\n \u201cI met someone who was traveling through New Orleans,\u201d Chura writes in a statement about the origins of \u201cDanny.\u201d \u201cWe had an instant rapport and an easy chemistry, and it reminded me what excitement could feel like. I wrote \u2018Danny\u2019 as an ode to the fantasy of meeting someone who could sweep me off my feet when I felt like I needed rescuing. He invited me to a party, but I stayed home and watched the clock tick instead.
