\n\tCharli XCX<\/a>\u2018s new album Music, Fashion, Film<\/em> has arrived, and unlike the lyrics of \u201cSS26\u201d suggest, it might save us after all.<\/p>\n \n\tMusic, Fashion, Film<\/em> spans 11 tracks, clocking in at just over 30 minutes. It features her previously released singles \u201cRock Music<\/a>\u201d (b side: \u201cI Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night<\/a>\u201c), \u201cSS26<\/a>\u201d (b side: \u201cPlayboy Bunny<\/a>\u201c), \u201cWink Wink<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cCamera<\/a>\u201d (b side: \u201cIf You Take Away the Music Then What Has She Got\u201d). The final track, \u201cNo One Lasts Forever,\u201d features director David Cronenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tIn her recent Rolling Stone<\/em> cover story<\/a>, Charli spoke about the new album, following up the massive success of Brat<\/em>, and her burgeoning acting career (she also toured Hollywood Forever Cemetery<\/a> in Los Angeles). \u201cAll of my albums work in opposites,\u201d she said. \u201cThey repel against each other, and that\u2019s the connective tissue. I knew when I was making it that I was never going to make that record again. It\u2019s not creatively rewarding for me to make the same thing twice.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe cover of Music, Fashion, Film <\/a><\/em>features three icons from each category, sitting together in a kitchen: John Cale for music, Marc Jacobs for fashion, and Martin Scorsese for film. \u201cShe said she had an idea to run by me,\u201d Cale told us in an exclusive interview<\/a>. \u201cThere was talk of a video, an ode to an imprint of time and place. Next thing, I was on a flight. Ended up in a random kitchen.\u201d<\/p>\n
