Bon Jovi<\/a> were forced to cut their set at Madison Square Garden short last night (July 23) as frontman Jon Bon Jovi<\/a> battled vocal issues.<\/p>\n The singer made it through 14 songs before calling it a night. Though he was able to deliver such classics as \u201cYou Give Love a Bad Name\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s My Life,\u201d the rocker was clearly struggling.\u00a0Before performing what would be the last song of the evening,\u00a0\u201cLivin\u2019 on a Prayer,\u201d Bon Jovi addressed the audience.<\/p>\n “I know I’m letting you down and it’s not like me to do that,” the singer confessed. “We’re gonna do one more song, and I’m gonna need you’re help. Just hold onto it, we\u2019ll figure out how to reschedule,\u201d\u00a0Bon Jovi\u00a0told fans after the song ended. \u201cBut I\u2019m gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great. I\u2019ll see you again soon, goodnight.\u201d<\/p>\n Jon was embraced onstage by his bandmates following the announcement. The crowd applauded and offered cheers of support as the musicians waved and exited the stage. In a statement to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, a Bon Jovi spokesperson said the singer was \u201cbattling a sinus infection which led to the show\u2019s early ending.\u201d<\/p>\n This was the eighth show of Bon Jovi\u2019s residency at Madison Square Garden. The group is scheduled to perform one more night \u2013 July 26 \u2013 in what was intended to be their ninth and final concert of this MSG run. Based on Bon Jovi\u2019s announcement, it seems possible another show could be added.
