\n\tAfter several years of failing to get a reunion off the ground, Faith No More<\/a> will finally take the stage again in 2027.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s been a minute,\u201d the band wrote on Instagram<\/a> as they announced a run of stadium dates with System of a Down. The shows will take place in Australia and New Zealand early next year, kicking off Jan. 22 in Sydney; continuing Jan. 27 in Melbourne and Feb. 1 in Brisbane; and then concluding Feb. 7 in Wellington, New Zealand.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tFor Faith No More, these shows will be their first since August 2016, when they performed two with original vocalist Chuck Mosley<\/a> to celebrate a reissue of their debut album We Care a Lot<\/em>. (Mosley died<\/a> in 2017.) Their last shows with longtime lead vocalist Mike Patton<\/a>, meanwhile, took place in 2015, as the band toured in support of Sol Invictus<\/a><\/em>, their first album since 1997.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tWhile Faith No More had planned to return to the stage in 2020, those dates were postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. While some were pushed to 2021, they were eventually canceled<\/a>, with Patton citing \u201cmental health reasons.\u201d<\/a> As Patton later explained to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, he was diagnosed with agoraphobia, which led to other issues he declined to discuss.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSomehow my confidence was broken down,\u201d he said. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to be in front of people, which is weird because I spent half of my life doing that. It was very hard to explain. And there were some broken feelings on both sides about it, but it\u2019s what I had to do. Because otherwise something really bad could have happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
