Netflix has just recently dropped Season 2<\/a> of Ransom Canyon<\/em><\/a>, but the show’s loyal fans are already looking forward and asking what might happen in a potential Ransom Canyon<\/em> Season 3.<\/p>\n NOTE: This story contains spoilers for <\/strong><\/em>Ransom Canyon<\/strong> Season 1 and Season 2.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n IMDb<\/a>\u00a0describes\u00a0Ransom Canyon<\/em>\u00a0as a “romance-fueled family drama and contemporary Western saga that charts the intersecting lives and loves of three ranching families set against the sweeping tundras and rolling rivers of Texas Hill Country.”<\/p>\n Ransom Canyon<\/em>\u00a0follows a local rancher named Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) and the lifelong friendship between him and local dancehall owner Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly).<\/p>\n She’s a concert pianist who has returned to her hometown in Texas after a career setback shattered her self-confidence.<\/p>\n They’ve been friends since high school, but Kirkland and O’Grady developed into an on-and-off romance with a lot of old baggage during Season 1, and their relationship came apart by the end of the season.<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/em> Who Is Charley Crockett? Vise tightening, Staten fights to protect the land he calls home\u00a0\u2014 and the only love that can pull him back from the demons that haunt him.”<\/p>\n Ransom Canyon<\/em> Season 2<\/a> provides more complications for Staten and Quinn as she pursues a new relationship with another man, but as the season comes to an end, the couple appear to find their way back together\u00a0\u2014 and this time, it looks like it might be for good.<\/p>\n That is not currently clear.<\/p>\n Ransom Canyon<\/em>\u00a0returned for Season 2<\/a>\u00a0on July 23, 2026, so the new season hasn’t been in release long enough for the ratings to determine whether the show will get renewed for another season yet.<\/p>\n Since there’s no official renewal yet, we don’t really know too many details.<\/p>\n However, showrunner April Blair tells Deadline<\/a> that the action in a potential Season 3 would probably begin right after Season 2 leaves off, instead of employing another time jump like she did between Season 1 and Season 2.<\/p>\n Since Season 2 centered mainly around several love triangles, Season 3 would \u201csee all the fallout of where we left off in Season 2,” Blair says.<\/p>\n Ransom Canyon<\/em>\u00a0is based on a series of books by Jodi Thomas, and while the first two seasons did not follow the books exactly, fans can still look to the source material to find out what might happen next.<\/p>\n As the Direct<\/a> reports, the relationship between Staten and Quinn develops slowly in the books, as they have multiple casual hookups as friends before realizing they have romantic feelings.<\/p>\n However, Quinn then gets pregnant by Staten in the book series, and they decide to keep the baby.<\/p>\n Staten and Quinn do wed in the book series and raise their child together as a married couple.<\/p>\n As Decider<\/a> reports, in an interview on Live With Kelly and Mark<\/em>, Minka Kelly expressed enthusiasm for where Staten and Quinn’s relationship could go on the TV show.<\/p>\n “What I\u2019m looking forward to discovering is sort of what happens when you do actually get together because anyone can fall in love and fall in lust,” she observed. “But it\u2019s when you actually do get together, and you create a home together, and you find out the ugliest parts of each other, and you still choose each other.
