King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard<\/a> have revealed the title track to their forthcoming EDM album<\/a>, Alien Metal<\/em>. It\u2019s the latest preview of the group\u2019s new foray into the high-energy genre, following the release of \u201cLevel 5\u201d last month. Give it a listen below.<\/p>\n The bands 28th LP is due \u201clater this summer\u201d on P(doom) Records<\/a>, and was made using the modular synth the six-piece plays during their live shows. (The band has affectionately deemed the rig \u201cNathan.\u201d) \u201cIt completely rewired my brain,\u201d Stu Mackenzie said of the Eurorack rig, which he began experimenting with on the recommendation of bandmate Joey Walker. \u201cI was like, \u2018I’m going to forget everything I know about music and relearn it all from scratch.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Next month, Gizz is set to play a three-night run at New York\u2019s Forest Hills Stadium before honoring their latest sonic turn with a \u201cRave Show\u201d at the city\u2019s Under the K Bridge Park.
