The lyrics famously pay homage to <em>Peter Pan<\/em> as the rapper considers growing old: \u201cWhen did you change? We wanted it to be great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tHe added, \u201cI think all of the songs came to me at the right time. As you go you collect more and more and you find a thesis and then they just meld together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tHe recalled making 200 versions of \u201cSame Drugs\u201d during that process. \u201cIt\u2019s over 200 versions of it,\u201d the rapper said. \u201cI wrote it three years before <em>Coloring Book<\/em> came out. I wrote it right around the time I released <em>Acid Rap<\/em>, when I was living in Atlanta. And in the 10 years since it came out we go through many more changes. Not just me, but the people who grew up on it.
