His honest songwriting \u2014 and lack of fear around making a song sound a little darker or more dangerous than what we\u2019re used to hearing on country radio \u2014 is what sets him apart. \u201cI\u2019m the kind of guy that\u2019s always gonna be brutally honest when it comes to lyrics.
