\n\tJust a couple of years ago, any sort of reconciliation between Stevie Nicks<\/a> and Lindsey Buckingham<\/a> felt like an absolute impossibility. They briefly interacted at a memorial event for Christine McVie in January 2023, but otherwise had no communication since Buckingham was removed from Fleetwood Mac<\/a> in 2018, sparking a legally battle that was eventually settled out of court.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe only time I\u2019ve spoken to Lindsey was [at McVie\u2019s memorial], for about three minutes,\u201d Nicks told Rolling Stone<\/em> in 2024.<\/a> \u201cI dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBut in October 2025, Nicks revealed that the number grew to 300 million and one when she was interviewed on the Song Exploder<\/em> podcast.<\/a> \u201cLindsey and I started talking about [the night we met in 1966] last night,\u201d Nicks said. \u201cThis whole thing seems really like yesterday to us.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAnd in March of this year, Buckingham said the recent reissue of the 1973 Buckingham Nicks<\/a><\/em> album drew them back together. \u201cWhat that translates to specifically, I wouldn\u2019t want to speculate yet,\u201d he said. <\/a>\u201cBut I believe with all my heart, it will translate to something good, and something wonderful, and something needed and something extremely appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThese were very tantalizing words that generated tremendous excitement in the Fleetwood Mac fan community. And in a new interview with E!,<\/em> <\/a>Buckingham again hinted at a future project with Nicks, seemingly tied to the release of an upcoming documentary about Fleetwood Mac\u2019s history directed by Frank Marshall.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI think the process of making that has been a very circular healing process for all of us,\u201d said Buckingham, who dodged a question about a possible tour, instead saying the \u201cthe mort important thing\u201d was the fact they\u2019re reconciled. \u201cBecause we had left things in 2019, maybe as far as I was concerned, not in a very good place for all the wrong reasons,\u201d he said. \u201cNo one was happy about it, and all of that has been healed and worked out.\u201d<\/p>\n
