However, ticket buyers \u2014 many of whom also purchased travel and accommodation in order to see the singer in Sin City \u2014 were informed Friday that the shows had been canceled.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHello, we regret to inform you that Morrissey \u2013 Live in Concert, scheduled for August 14, 15, 18, and 19 at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, has been canceled,\u201d an email to fans said. \u201cDue to unforeseen logistical issues, the scheduled Las Vegas residency cannot take place.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhile Morrissey\u2019s official website hasn\u2019t acknowledged the cancelation \u2014 the shows are still listed<\/a> on the Morrissey Official site \u2014 the Wynn has removed the shows from their Entertainment page<\/a>, and the Ticketmaster listings<\/a> for the shows state, \u201cUnfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIt\u2019s unclear what \u201cunforeseen logistical issues\u201d are preventing Morrissey from staging the residency next week; the singer last performed live a week ago, August 1 in Portugal.<\/p>\n \n\tTo borrow Vegas parlance, fans are really rolling the dice buying tickets to see Morrissey in 2026, as the odds aren\u2019t great<\/a> that the concerts will actually happen: Morrissey kicked off the year by canceling California concerts<\/a> \u2014 shows that were rescheduled from 2025 \u2014 \u201cdue to an adverse reaction to a prescription medication.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tHis Atlanta show was nixed \u201cdue to artist illness,\u201d his St. Louis show was canceled day of because of \u201cflu,\u201d his Dominican Republic show was canceled for \u201creasons completely beyond our control\u201d the organizers said, a St. Petersburg, Florida show was canceled without explanation<\/a>, and a gig in Valencia, Spain was called off because of \u201csleep deprivation<\/a>\u201d due to a loud festival nearby that \u201cleft Morrissey in a catatonic state.\u201d<\/p>\n
