\n\tThe Strokes<\/a> brought out surprise guest Charli XCX<\/a> to perform \u201cTake It or Leave It\u201d during the band\u2019s headlining set Saturday at the Outside Lands<\/a> festival.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe got a special little guest. A big guest. A superstar,\u201d Julian Casablancas told the crowd before alluding to the fact that both artists released new albums \u2014 the Strokes\u2019 Reality Awaits<\/a><\/em>, Charli\u2019s Music, Fashion, Film<\/a><\/em> \u2014 on the same day in July.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe had a great battle. Congratulations, you defeated us in the album sales. You\u2019re new queen of everything, Charli XCX.\u201d The group and the singer \u2014 who headlined the previous night at the San Francisco fest \u2014 then launched into the Is This It?<\/em> closer:<\/p>\n \n
