{"id":70179,"date":"2026-08-09T17:42:44","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T17:42:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/09\/motley-crues-nikki-sixx-doesnt-believe-in-making-albums-anymore\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T17:42:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T17:42:44","slug":"motley-crues-nikki-sixx-doesnt-believe-in-making-albums-anymore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/09\/motley-crues-nikki-sixx-doesnt-believe-in-making-albums-anymore\/","title":{"rendered":"Motley Crue&#8217;s Nikki Sixx Doesn\u2019t Believe in Making Albums Anymore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/nikki-sixx\/\">Nikki Sixx<\/a> listed the reasons why <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/motley-crue\/\">Motley Crue<\/a> aren\u2019t likely to record another album.<\/p>\n<p>The bassist said he preferred to record a single song with the band whenever the right moment came up, rather than the extended effort of tracking an LP.<\/p>\n<p>The band\u2019s most recent release was 2024\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/motley-crue-cancelled-song\/\"><em>Cancelled<\/em><\/a> EP \u2013 their first to feature guitarist <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/john-5\/\">John 5<\/a> \u2013 which contained two new tracks and a <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/beastie-boys\/\">Beastie Boys<\/a> cover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/nikki-sixx-motley-crue-rockers-acting-25\/\">Nikki Sixx Decries Aging Rockers &#8216;Still Trying to Act 25&#8217;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know fans don\u2019t want to hear this, but I don\u2019t believe in making full-length records anymore at this time,\u201d Sixx told podcast host Joann Butler in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ac0SYJcBQaA\" target=\"_blank\">a recent interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Citing \u201cthe amount of work that goes into\u201d an LP, he continued: \u201cIf you\u2019re doing 10 songs \u2026 you gotta write 20. And you better hope five of them are stellar. It\u2019s a lot of lyrics, a lot of notes, a lot of chord changes, a lot of time in the studio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He insisted that putting effort in wasn\u2019t a problem for Crue, but added: \u201c[W]hat I don\u2019t like is that when people hear one song, and you recorded 10 or you recorded 20\u2026 they only hear one.
