Back in February, Alex G<\/a> announced that he would reunite<\/a> with American horror auteur Jane Schoenbrun to score her next film, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. Now<\/em>, he\u2019s shared the first taste of that soundtrack, which arrives in full on August 21: a new song with the Blue Nile<\/a>\u2019s Paul Buchanan, \u201cPain is the Heart of Love.\u201d Listen to it below.<\/p>\n Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma<\/em> is Alex Giannascoli\u2019s third collaboration with Schoenbrun\u2014he also scored her last two films, 2022\u2019s We\u2019re All Going to the World\u2019s Fair<\/em> and 2024\u2019s I Saw the TV Glow<\/em>. The film follows a young director (Hannah Einbinder) who, in the process of rebooting a classic horror franchise, connects with the reclusive actress (Gillian Anderson) who played the series\u2019 final girl. The tracklist also features songs from R.E.M., Sally Shapiro, Donna Lewis, and Okay Kaya.<\/p>\n Elsewhere recently, Alex G co-produced Phoebe Bridgers\u2019 third album Lost Weekend<\/em>, wrapped up a North American tour<\/a>, and released two new songs on his personal YouTube channel<\/a>.
