Dave Davies<\/a> remembered predicting that Oasis<\/a> brothers Liam<\/a> and Noel Gallagher<\/a> would reunite their band at some point \u2013\u00a0which\u00a0they did in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Kinks<\/a> guitarist knows something of sibling rivalry, having endured a tense relationship with sibling Ray<\/a> for most of his life.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the Gallagher brothers,\u201d Dave told iNews<\/em><\/a> in a recent interview, \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s weird how different they are from each other. That\u2019s very much like me and Ray \u2013 they had to go through the hate thing, and it\u2019s back on course now.<\/p>\n \u201cIt comes with maturity. You realize, \u2018What\u2019s the point?\u2019 and then rethink things.\u201d When he heard of the Gallaghers\u2019 split in 2009<\/a>, he added, \u201cI remember laughing, thinking, \u2018You wait, you wait \u2013 you\u2019ll go back!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Talk of a Davies\u2019 reunion has circulated regularly since the Kinks ended in 1997. Asked about it again, Dave replied: \u201cNever say never. We talk every couple of months, but it\u2019s usually about the Arsenal [soccer team]; just normal stuff, you know, to remind us that we\u2019re just part of the human race.\u201d<\/p>\n He then returned to the theme of the Beatles<\/a>, having recently said that George Harrison<\/a> was the only Fab Four member he\u2019d got on with. \u201cYou\u2019d be a fool if you didn\u2019t like the Beatles, but I liked George so much because I could see something simmering underneath \u2013 very thoughtful.<\/p>\n \u201cPaul<\/a> said wonderful things about the Kinks; but Ray and John<\/a> had a rivalry. John was difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n He reported that he still thought about Lennon\u2019s 1980 murder<\/a>: \u201cI still get angry because it\u2019s such a f\u2013\u2013g waste.
