Former Nashville<\/em><\/a> star Hayden Panettiere<\/a> has died at the age of 36, and fans are clamoring for any information they can get about the circumstances surrounding her tragic passing.<\/p>\n Hayden Panettiere was an actor who began her career as a child star, appearing in television shows and films including One Life to Live<\/em>, Guiding Light<\/em>, Message in a Bottle<\/em>, Remember the Titans<\/em> and more.<\/p>\n She shot to fame for her role on Heroes<\/em>, but country fans remember her primarily for her role as country singer Juliette Barnes on Nashville<\/em>.<\/p>\n The actor died<\/a> on Sunday (Aug. 16), at an apartment in Greenville, S.C.<\/p>\n Initial reports suggest\u00a0that Panettiere\u00a0\u2014 who had a long history<\/a> of abuse, depression and addiction\u00a0\u2014 died of an overdose<\/a>, but toxicology has not yet confirmed those reports.<\/p>\n Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, tells NBC News<\/a> that she and the rest of Panettiere’s family had been hoping she would get away from her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, for years.<\/p>\n He and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were both present when Panettiee went into cardiac arrest at an apartment in Greenville on Sunday.<\/p>\n Zach was reportedly very upset, while Brian Hickerson reportedly only became emotional after Panettiere was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n “I think Hayden was an amazingly talented person in so many departments and I think young people who grow up in the entertainment industry\u00a0\u2014 it is a struggle and it’s a very challenging industry and it’s not unusual for them to sadly find the wrong path,” Vogel says (quote via TMZ<\/a>).<\/p>\nWho Was Hayden Panettiere?<\/h3>\n
