Coinciding with the album reveal, Hathaway has also unveiled the project\u2019s lead single, \u201cCan\u2019t Let Go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rooted in Hathaway\u2019s signature warm, intimate, and soulful vocals, Made In Chicago was born from a singular, evocative vision: the artist picturing herself in a leather coat, gazing out at Lake Michigan against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. That striking visual unleashed a flood of musical inspiration that heavily echoed her childhood in the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel these songs live at the intersection of nostalgia and melancholy,\u201d Hathaway shared regarding the project\u2019s emotional tone.<\/p>\n<p>Across nine distinct tracks, the album serves as a sonic tracing of her Chicago upbringing, effectively reimagining her past while simultaneously pointing toward her creative future.<\/p>\n<p>To bring Made In Chicago to life, Hathaway teamed up with her longtime collaborator and co-producer, Phil Beaudreau.
