Soul Glo<\/a> are gearing up to release their first album since 2022. Due out January 15 on Epitaph, Na I\u2019m Gon Grab Allat<\/em> follows 2022\u2019s Diaspora Problems<\/em><\/a>, and features contributions from MIKE<\/a>, Bbymutha<\/a>, TV on the Radio\u2019s Tunde Adebimpe, Eugene Robinson, and more. Today, they also shared a new song with Mannequin Pussy<\/a>, \u201cFebruary Theory,\u201d which comes with a music video directed by Robert Silverstein that features a bar fight over a hot dog, a rowdy church funeral, and at least one instance of literal can-kicking. Watch that below.<\/p>\n Na I\u2019m Gon Grab Allat<\/em> was recorded entirely at the Philadelphia hardcore band\u2019s hometown Foto Club with longtime collaborator Evan Bernard. In a press statement, vocalist Pierce Jordan dedicates the album to \u201ceveryone who has known the joy and pain of loving a man. All different types of love: platonic, romantic, familial, self.\u201d (The larger track list indicates that the \u201cpain\u201d half of that equation is duly represented\u2014four different songs are titled \u201cResentment.\u201d)<\/p>\n Since dropping Diaspora Problems<\/em>, Soul Glo have been sparing with releasing new music. They co-headlined a tour<\/a> with Zulu<\/a>, played Coachella, became the first hardcore band to do an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and shared a cover<\/a> of System of a Down\u2019s \u201cSoil\u201d in 2023. The next year, they released the song \u201cIf I Speak (Shut the Fuck Up)<\/a>\u201d in 2024.
