Jeff Tweedy<\/a> is now a card-carrying member of the Twisted Teens<\/a> fan club. On September 11, the Wilco frontman shared a cover of the New Orleans duo\u2019s \u201cWild Connection,\u201d which appears on their February album Blame the Clown<\/em><\/a>. Give it a listen on his Substack<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a short essay about the cover, Tweedy complemented bandleader Caspian Hollywell\u2019s voice, noting that he \u201chad trouble not trying to sing like him.\u201d \u201cOne of the reasons I do so many cover songs is that I think it\u2019s good to hear something you like and then see what it feels like to try it on, almost like clothes,\u201d he wrote. \u201cOn this one, I think I still sound like myself. I actually kind of feel like I maybe sound like a younger version of myself.\u201d<\/p>\n Tweedy has shared covers on his Substack before: in February, he posted a rendition of Cameron Winter\u2019s \u201cLove Takes Miles<\/a>\u201d as a Valentines Day gift to his wife. Earlier this year, he wrapped up a headlining tour<\/a> in support of his album Twilight Override<\/em><\/a>, wrote a New York Times<\/em> crossword puzzle,<\/a> and performed<\/a> on Kimmel twice<\/a>.<\/p>\n Twisted Teens are gearing up to release their third album of 2026, The Holy Cross Tigers<\/em><\/a>, on November 6.
