“we kind of always wanted to make another record, so we hope to,” singer told Alamodome fans of band’s long-awaited follow-up to 2010\u2019s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tGerard Way<\/a> revealed at My Chemical Romance<\/a>\u2019s concert Saturday in San Antonio that the band plans on recording a new album, their first LP in over 16 years.<\/p>\n \n\tMy Chemical Romance has spent the past year on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of 2006\u2019s The Black Parade<\/em>. The group released one more LP \u2014 2010\u2019s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys<\/em> \u2014 before disbanding for a half-decade in the mid-2010s.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe group reunited in 2019 for a series of tours but only one new song, 2022\u2019s \u201cThe Foundations of Decay.\u201d However, at Saturday\u2019s show, Way revealed to fans that MCR hopes to start work on their long-awaited next album.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe should probably make more songs. [\u201cThe Foundations of Decay\u201d] was really awesome when we kept doing it,\u201d Way told fans at the Alamodome. \u201cAnd then you know, stuff happens, life happens. But, just know that, we kind of always wanted to make another record, so we hope to. Because you guys, honestly, kept us alive for so long that you guys deserve another record.\u201d<\/p>\n
