@<\/a>, the Philadelphia psych-folk duo of Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak, are sharing one more single from their new album, Autosmile<\/em><\/a>, as well as news of a headlining tour. That single, \u201cBird,\u201d comes with a surreal, Caity Arthur<\/a>-directed video that seeks beauty in sadness, much like the song itself. Check it out below.<\/p>\n

Elaborating on the backstory for \u201cBird,\u201d Filipczak said, \u201cThis song was inspired by dead baby birds that kept appearing on my deck. It was written on a bike ride through Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. The lyrics have lots of puns which hopefully offset their hopelessness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Autosmile<\/em> is out October 16 via 4AD. @ have shared three songs from the follow-up to 2023\u2019s Mind Palace Music<\/em><\/a> so far: the seven-minute title track<\/a>, \u201cPunish My Mind,\u201d and today\u2019s number. Expect to hear that new material live when @ open for YHWH Nailgun and This Is Lorelei this fall, before embarking on their own headlining tour at the start of next year.
