But things take a turn halfway through the video as Belladonna sings, \u201cRise,\u201d and the man gets control.<\/p>\n \n\tDocumentarian Don Argott, who directed Lamb of God\u2019s As the Palaces Burn <\/em>film and co-directed Taylor Swift\u2019s The End of an Era <\/em>film, helmed the black & white clip, which stars London May, best known as the sometime drummer and bassist for Samhain, Glenn Danzig\u2019s goth-punk band between the Misfits and Danzig. The way May tells it, the video shoot was as brutal as it looks. \u201c\u2018Cursum Perficio\u2019 brought out the beast in me,\u201d he tells Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cI broke my finger the very first day and had to beg them to keep shooting.
