Primetime<\/em><\/a>, the new A24 film directed by Lance Oppenheim that chronicles Chris Hansen\u2019s infamous 2000s TV program To Catch a Predator<\/em>, hits theaters today (September 25). Robert Pattinson portrays Hansen, with Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers<\/a> starring in additional roles. As it turns out, Bridgers recorded a new song for the movie as part of its soundtrack, too. Listen to \u201cOn Video\u201d below.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Video\u201d isn\u2019t just a one-off single that was tacked onto the movie. Bridgers composed it specifically for Primetime<\/em>, drawing influence from composer Ari Balouzian\u2019s original score to draw the film to an end, as her song functions as the closing track.<\/p>\n Primetime<\/em> is Bridgers\u2019 first time acting as a cast member for a film, but it technically isn\u2019t her debut appearance in a movie; in 2024, she made a cameo as herself in Jane Schoenbrun\u2019s I Saw the TV Glow<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Last month, Bridgers made her long-awaited return as a solo artist with Lost Weekend<\/em><\/a>, her third solo LP overall and first in six years, following 2020\u2019s Punisher<\/em><\/a>.
