Metallica<\/a> dug into the\u00a0\u201990s\u00a0for two tracks during the second show of their Las Vegas Sphere<\/a> residency last night (Oct. 3).<\/p>\n Their longstanding no-repeat vow means fans will experience a different set list each night of every weekend until the run ends on Nov. 7, after which they\u2019ll return from Jan. 28 to March 13 next year.<\/p>\n Last night they performed \u201cDevil\u2019s Dance\u201d for the first time in 18 years, and later they delivered \u201cThe Outlaw Torn,\u201d which they haven\u2019t done for seven years. Both songs first appeared on 1996 album Load<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE:\u00a0<\/strong>The Best Song From Every Metallica Album<\/a><\/p>\n As with their opening night on Oct. 1<\/a>, the thrash metal giants took full advantage of the Sphere\u2019s hi-tech capabilities, with dramatic animations dwarfing the four band members on stage. Drummer Lars Ulrich<\/a> previously confirmed that was one of the reasons they\u2019d decided to take over the venue for 24 nights across five months.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be challenging\u2026 it\u2019s overwhelming and f\u2014ing intimidating,\u201d he said. \u201cBut \u2026 we have a tendency to put ourselves in environments that we completely control and know.
