Darling<\/em> is the contemporary classical composer\u2019s first non-soundtrack album since 2021\u2019s Bumps Per Minute: 18 Studies for Dodgems<\/em>, which followed 2019\u2019s Fibs<\/em><\/a>. The music video for the first single, \u201cDusky,\u201d is out now. My aim was to create a unique experience ultimately for myself but also for those I\u2019m bringing along on this journey with me. I wanted to lean into a technicolor version of what my music can be, reaching for higher highs and greater twists and turns, and letting it sit with more confidence than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n The London-born, Scottish-raised experimental composer channels intricate classical music, hyper pop, and expansive ambient across her catalog. In the years since Fibs,<\/em> she has released scores for the A24 film Tuesday<\/em> and Netflix\u2019s The End We Start From<\/em>.<\/p>\n
