“Precinct 3” and “Scavenger,” from thrash band’s upcoming third album, mark first new music with singer Seth Gilmore<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\n\tPower Trip<\/a> have released a pair of new songs, \u201cPrecinct 3\u201d and \u201cScavenger,\u201d the Dallas thrash band\u2019s first new music since the death of singer Riley Gale<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n \n\tIn 2024, the group\u2019s founding four musicians \u2014 guitarist Blake Ibanez, guitarist Nick Stewart, bassist Chris Whetzel, and drummer Chris Ulsh \u2014 confirmed plans to reunite<\/a>, enlisting singer Seth Gilmore for a series of live shows that year.<\/p>\n \n\tThose shows ultimately led to the group returning to the studio with Gilmore, and work on the band\u2019s third album began. \u201cPrecinct 3\u201d and \u201cScavenger\u201d are the first offerings from that 2027-bound LP, the band\u2019s first album since 2017\u2019s Nightmare Logic<\/em> and first with Gilmore on vocals.<\/p>\n \n
