At the time, a statement on his website explained that the brain disorder had \u201cbeen exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance\u201d and that he was undergoing physical therapy under his doctor\u2019s instructions. <\/p>\n \n\tOn Thursday, the singer shared an update about his health during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> and said that at the moment, he\u2019s not allowed to drive. When discussing when he would perform again, Joel said, \u201cI have to take a series of tests before I know,\u201d adding, \u201cI can\u2019t drive right now. I\u2019m not allowed to drive.\u201d He said a neurologist informed him that \u201cevery time you do a show, it\u2019s like you\u2019re getting a concussion.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLast month, Joel said that he didn\u2019t want people worrying about his health<\/a>. \u201cI know people are worried about me because they read that I have a brain disorder, which sounds a lot worse than it actually is,\u201d he said on SiriusXM<\/a> when taking calls from fans. \u201cI\u2019m okay.
