\n\tSay Now<\/a>, the British pop trio formerly known as needanamebro, offer up a crash course in social cue literacy on their latest single \u201cHot and Talking.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLooked in your direction, but don\u2019t take that as a sign\/I just wanna know what kind of people at this party\/There\u2019s a conversation in your head that I\u2019m not hearing\/Or that I\u2019m missing,\u201d the group sings on the opening verse of the electro-influenced pop track. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe accompanying \u201cHot and Talking\u201d video leans further into Say Now\u2019s aggressively early 2010s fashion aesthetic as their band identity continues to take shape. They\u2019re leaning all the way in. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe hope when everyone hears this EP they can feel like they\u2019re truly getting to know Say Now and our identity,\u201d the band tells Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cEveryday we just think, how lucky are we to have Pink as a mentor, friend, and executive producer for our debut EP? \n\tThe single follows \u201cMet My Match,\u201d both of which will appear on their forthcoming debut EP Say What You See<\/em>. Co-written and executive produced by PinkPantheress<\/a>, the project is set for release on Nov. 13 via Atlantic Records after three years of loose singles as the girl group \u2014 Amelia, Maddie and Ysabelle \u2014 nailed down their sound.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith \u201cHot and Talking,\u201d in particular, they drew inspiration from Girls Aloud. \u201cThe hooks, the attitude, the outfits; that\u2019s the energy we wanted for \u2018Hot and talking,\u2019\u201d they shared. Say Now joins an extensive lineage of British girl groups \u2014 from Spice Girls, Sugababes, and Girls Aloud to Little Mix and their more contemporary peers Flo. On a global front, they\u2019re sharing the space with Katseye, who\u2019ve been leading the girl group conversation this year for better<\/a> or worse.<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
