Today, the band has released the lead single \u201cGod Will Control the Werewolves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cGod Will Control the Werewolves\u201d was inspired by a story about Wayne Coyne\u2019s sons, Bloom and Rex, who were playing hide and seek during a full moon. \u201cBloom asked me if, while him and Rex were hiding , [if] the werewolves would get them,\u201d Coyne said. \u201cI told him God would control the werewolves for a little bit while we played hide n seek. The Flaming Lips will play two shows in each city, with one set highlighting their new record and tracks from their early career, and the other featuring <em>The Teardrop Throbs<\/em> reimaginings and songs from the aughts onward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPre-sales for the shows will occur Wednesday, Oct. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time. It\u2019ll also be their first record without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/flaming-lips-steven-drozd-breaks-silence-1235504073\/\">Steven Drozd<\/a>, who joined the band in 1991.
