After releasing a couple of self-released projects in 2025, the UK-based jungle producer Tim Reaper<\/a> is dropping his debut solo album, World\u2019s End<\/em>, next year. Hyperdub will release the project on February 19, and today they\u2019ve shared the first single, the marching band-inspired \u201cRoll Call.\u201d<\/p>\n World\u2019s End<\/em> builds on Reaper\u2019s jungle foundation while taking inspiration from gqom, footwork, drill, and techno. In a press statement, Reaper explained he was inspired to toy with other genres following the release of his 2024 EP, Scorched Earth<\/em>. \u201cScorched Earth<\/em> EP was inspired by a conversation I had with a mate where he was asking how I define \u2018jungle\u2019\u2014and for me, jungle is mainly about the breakbeats and the tempo, but it could have anything else going on within that template,\u201d he said. \u201cThe realisation made me want to challenge myself to try and bring in newer, lesser referenced sounds.\u201d<\/p>\n Read Pitchfork\u2019s review of Tim Reaper and Comfort Zone\u2019s Banoffee Pies White Label Series 01<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
