Hans Zimmer‘s work will be brought to the live stage and feature a star-studded lineup that includes Billie Eilish, Finneas, Pharrell Williams, Johnny Marr, Timothée Chalamet, and Zendaya.

Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert will be helmed by Emmy-winning director Paul Dugdale, while Jerry Bruckheimer will serve as executive producer. Zimmer’s music will be performed with his band and an orchestra in Dubai and release globally on March 19 with limited screenings. The 158-minute film will capture the breadth of Zimmer’s compositions including Dune, Gladiator, Interstellar, and The Lion King. Tickets for the live event go on sale Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. ET at hanszimmerfilm.com.

The concert film will also highlight conversations with some of the stars along with Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Jerry Bruckheimer, Johnny Marr, Pharrell Williams, Tanya Lapointe, and offers a look into Zimmer’s creative process.

“The Hans Zimmer Live tour has been one of the most exciting experiences of my career, and I’m thrilled to bring it to an audience in cinemas globally with Diamond in the Desert,” said Zimmer in a statement. “Seeing these compositions transform from their big-screen origins to the live show then back to the big screen is a delightful full-circle moment. I hope audiences enjoy this peek behind the curtain as much as we enjoyed making it.”

In a separate statement, Dugdale called the “sheer scale and breadth” of the film a “testament to Hans’ endless enthusiasm for ideas, and his commitment to the shared vision and ambition for how we present his greatest ever compositions.”
