Brantley Gilbert Says He Wasn’t Ready for Baby No. 3

Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber, just welcomed a new addition to their family: A baby boy named Abram Howell.

It was big news, because Gilbert had to stop a concert to meet his new son. Actually, he helped deliver him backstage!

He’s over the moon, even if he didn’t totally expect to add Abram to the family just yet.

In a chat with Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul while Amber was still pregnant, Gilbert admitted he and his wife weren’t totally prepared for another baby — he wasn’t part of their “five year plan.”

“We had a five year plan! I spent the last 15 years looking for a farm around my hometown and finally found one,” Gilbert explains. “We had a five year plan. Everything was moving smooth, bro, we were good.”

Abram threw a wrench in that:

“The next thing I know, our five year plan turned into a one year plan and we’re building a house.”

“So, you know, not ready, set, go,” the “Over When We’re Sober” singer says.

Gilbert and his wife just sold their log mansion and are now in the process of building their new dream home on a large plot of land — the one the star searched for for years.

Baby Abram joins a brother and a sister, 6-year-old Barrett and 5-year-old Braylen.
