The single will appear on the rapper’s forthcoming project, Dreamboy

After a week of dropping new songs Lil Nas X has debuted his new single “Hotbox.” The innuendo-filled track arrives alongside an Elias Talbot-directed music video that evokes a vibrant Barbie pink aesthetic.

“Hotbox” was produced by Take a Daytrip, Omer Fedi, and Ojivolta, and follows the heels of four other tracks off Lil Nas X’s forthcoming Dreamboy project. Earlier this week, the rapper shared “Dreamboy,” “Big Dummy,” “Swish,” and “Right There.”

“He said let’s hit the back, hit the back, hit the backroom/ You be the carpet, I be the vacuum,” Nas spits on the track. “We can get it in, we can get it on/ Tonight I’m on a Xan, tonight I’m in the zone.”

In November, Lil Nas X dropped “Light Again” and “Need Dat Boy.” Prior to that he, dropped collaborations with Camila Cabello (“He Knows”) and Kevin Abstract (“Tennessee“). So far, there’s no word on when Dreamboy will arrive in full, although the rapper has been actively teasing the album and his new songs on social media. The LP is a follow-up Lil Nas X’s hit 2021 debut album, Montero.
