The Destiny’s Child star and celebrated actress connected after the one of the former’s recent Broadway performances in Death Becomes Her

Michelle Williams meets Michelle Williams! The Destiny’s Child singer and the Dawson’s Creek actress “finally” connected in person this week, after the former’s performance in Death Becomes Her on Broadway.

“Y’all, we had an amazing show tonight. The crowd was lit … I’ve got more things to sign. I always love to bring you guys in on my journey,” singer Williams said in an Instagram video. She then held up a few photos of the other Williams, instead of herself, quipping, “Give me one more moment.”

Williams then panned over to the former Dawson’s Creek star and handed the her the photos. “Who should I make it out to?” the other Williams asked.

“Would you make it out to meeeee?” responded Destiny’s Child Williams.

Both Williams’ came to fame in the Nineties: one as a girl group member and another as an actress. As expected, the two have been confused numerous times over the years, with Destiny’s Child Williams sharing a video last month where she discussed receiving “fan mail” from Germany meant for the other Williams.

“There are some folks who work in wardrobe who worked with the other Michelle Williams in Cabaret,” Williams told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “And apparently, she was also getting mail, but it was for me. It’s happened to both of us, so I said, ‘OK, cool, that makes me feel better.’ I have signed them back, and then I send a picture of myself, and I say, ‘OK, I’m the Black one.’”

“I’m really hoping that one day, me and Michelle, we can actually do something together,” she continued. “I think that would be absolutely fabulous.” It looks like she manifested this moment through Rolling Stone!
