Emilia, Grupo Frontera, Danny Ocean are also scheduled to perform at this year’s awards show
Pitbull, Anitta, Becky G, and Kali Uchis will be among the stars to grace the stage at the 2024 Latin Grammys on Nov. 14. On Monday, the Latin Recording Academy announced a second set of performers for the awards show, which includes Emilia, Grupo Frontera, Danny Ocean, Edgar Barrera, and Reik.
Other performers include the girl group Darumas, who is up for Best New Artist; Leonel García; Silvia Pérez Cruz; and Carlos Rivera. All of the performers are up for Latin Grammys this year, except Reik and Pitbull, who’ve won Latin Grammys in the past.
Anitta is up for two awards: Record of the Year for “Mil Veces” and Best Portuguese-Language Urban Performance for “Joga Pra Lua” with Dennis and Pedro Sampaio. Kali Uchis earned nods for “Igual Que Un Ángel” with Peso Pluma in the Record of the Year and Best Pop Song categories. Her LP Orquídeas is also up for Best Pop Vocal Album. Meanwhile, Barrera is up for a whopping nine awards, the most of anyone this year, including for Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, and three nods as a co-writer for Song of the Year.
The Latin Recording Academy unveiled the awards show’s first cohort of performers earlier this month with David Bisbal, Alejandro Fernández, Luis Fonsi, Juan Luis Guerra, Carin León, Elena Rose, and Ela Taubert hitting the stage. Carlos Vives — this year’s Person of the Year — will also perform.
Just behind Barrera in the list of nominations are Bad Bunny and Karol G, who clinched eight nods each for the albums they released last year. Bad Bunny saw several songs from Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana make it into major categories, including Record Of The Year, while Karol G had a lot of work from Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) recognized.
