Justin Vernon Is a Limo-Driving Lawyer in Bon Iver’s ‘From’ Video

Group shares quirky visual from new album SABLE, fABLE

Justin Vernon plays a limo-driving divorce lawyer in the new video for “From,” the latest visual off Bon Iver’s recent album SABLE, fABLE.

The premise — told in glorious VHS quality — is simple: Vernon cruises around in his limousine listening to couples bicker, then presents them with the proper paperwork at the end of the voyage to end the marriage.

To bring the video into the real world, the law firm of Justin Vernon & Associates have also set up a hotline — 1-888-FROM-BON — for fans to call. “This is not legal or love advice, or transportation. Just a hot line,” a press release disclaims. “Justin Vernon & [the video’s director] Asher Weisberg will be responding to select voicemails.”

Bon Iver previously shared the John Wilson-directed video for “Everything Is Peaceful Love” from SABLE, fABLE, their first studio album in six years and one of Rolling Stone’s Best Albums of 2025 So Far. The LP followed the release of last year’s SABLE EP, which featured the album’s first three songs.

“If SABLE, was the prologue, then fABLE is the book — but together, SABLE, fABLE is the album, and for that reason it is no fairy tale,” the band said in a statement when the album was announced. “There may be something undeniably healing about infatuation, and the intense clarity, focus, honesty and celebration it brings to these songs.”
