Chappell Roan Announces Pop-Up Shows in NY, LA and Kansas City

Chappell Roan announced fall pop-up shows in New York City, Los Angeles, and Kansas City. These are her only non-festival gigs this year.

Roan’s headlining dates will take place throughout September and October. She has scheduled four shows at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY, two at Museum and Memorial Park in Kansas City, MO, and another two at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

“I love these three cities so much + wanted the chance to do something special before going away to write the next album,” Roan wrote on Instagram. Along with the show announcement, she revealed how she is hoping to keep the ticket prices fair and in the hands of real fans, not scalpers. Roan has partnered with CashApp to offer a cash back option to fans using the CashApp debit card.

The ticketing process will also utilize AXS. Fans can register for shows this week, and AXS will weed out bot and scalper emails, randomly selecting real fans to be given access to purchase tickets. She also noted that $1 from each ticket will be donated to organizations dedicated to supporting and providing resources for transgender youth.

Ads have popped up around NYC promoting Roan’s next single, teasing an August 1st release date. Roan confirmed with her Instagram audio that it would be “The Subway,” a song she began playing during her historic festival run last summer. It will be her second new single this year, following “The Giver.”

The US dates are Roan’s only standalone headlining shows in the US this year. She has been on a massive run of festivals in Europe and the UK, including Primavera Sound. She will be playing Reading and Leeds in the UK this August.
