Hot Boy Turk has expressed a desire to sue Cash Money Records after he was forcibly removed from the group’s 30th anniversary tour.
The founding member of the New Orleans Hip Hop group has claimed organizers removed him from the tour over a financial dispute after they asked him to take a pay cut due to poor ticket sales.
Turk wrote on Instagram: “The same day I rejected less than what was owed, I got hit with a bogus termination notice. Instead of admitting they couldn’t pay fairly, they labeled me a threat.”
The rapper then posted screenshots of emails which said he had been dismissed from the tour because of his issues with group member B.G. which have included various social media rows.
Turk then made it clear that he intended to initiate legal action against “all parties” involved in removing him from the tour.
Cash Money, the tour operators and the other members of the Hot Boys are yet to comment on the incident.
Since the Hot Boys reunited last year, turmoil has followed the group but they did manage to announce a reunion tour even though Lil Wayne has missed several dates.
Birdman also appeared to fall asleep while performing with the group earlier this year.
In February, a bizarre video went viral of the Cash Money mogul stood motionless on stage with his head down for over 15 seconds during a show with Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. and Turk.
The clip left many fans concerned for Birdman’s health, but B.G. insists there is nothing to worry about and that his former label boss was not actually taking a nap.
Speaking to XXL, he said: “He was just reading the teleprompter, ya heard me? They just got him on a bad angle and we had a good laugh about it for a week. All of us laughed, josted off each other, josted off him because we thought it was funny.
“But it just really reminded me that the internet is really undefeated. Stunna ain’t never did no hard drugs. He always been strictly about the bag.”
Turk also previously addressed the clip and reassured fans that there was no need to be worried about Birdman’s wellbeing.
