Lil Baby Cancels ‘Dominique’ Album In Favor Of ‘The Leaks’

Lil Baby has revealed that he has cancelled his much delayed album Dominique in favor of a new project entitled The Leak$.

The Atlanta rapper was originally supposed to drop Dominique back in February but the album has still yet to materialise and has now pivoted to The Leak$.

On Instagram, Baby posted a date that is next Friday (15 August) as well as a picture of a whiteboard for a project clearly titled The Leak$.

There are 17 songs on the tracklist and also seemingly features from Playboi Carti, Skooly and Veeze.

It is not yet known if the songs are new material or a compilation of tracks originally intended for Dominique.

Earlier this year, Baby hit out at his music being released online without his permission.

The Atlanta rapper wrote: “Damn yall just gone keep leaking my songs !!”

Fans had been waiting for Baby to drop Dominique, which was originally planned for release back in February.

Baby previously said that the album would show a different, more personal side of his persona.

He explained: “Just more heartfelt and more direct with talking about certain subjects. I just was damn near warming up again [on WHAM], and Dominique is more strategic. Dominique is more of a grown sound. Lil Baby is something I created. But I kind of grew out of that stage. WHAM is [a persona] I created, and Dominique is [a persona] I created. WHAM is in the middle of Lil Baby and Dominique. So Dominique going to be like the more 30-year-old me.”

Baby added: “I initially was going [to drop] the self-titled album [first], but I had to backtrack because even though I’ve grown and I had a dramatic change, I ain’t really bring the fans along with me. So they don’t really know what I went through or what I’m going through.”

The “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” star continued: “So to just go from Lil Baby to Dominique, I feel like that would’ve been too big of a jump for them. So I had to come back and tighten it up a little bit and ease their way into it. It’s two different albums, but something like a double album.”
