Parker McCollum’s Son’s Birthday Cake Is a Lil’ Cowboy’s Dream

Parker McCollum and his wife, Hallie Ray, have a full year of parenting under their belts.

The couple celebrated their baby boy Major’s first birthday this week with a rodeo-themed party.

“Major’s First Rodeo” had all the country fixins, with boot-shaped cups, cowboy hat favors, gingham print tablecloths, a barn backdrop for photos and more.

Not to mention, Major’s most perfect cake!

Hallie shared several photos of the event on her Instagram Stories, including a shot of the cowboy hat birthday cake.

The cake was shaped to look just like a hat Major’s daddy would wear onstage. The textured brown fondant looks just like leather, while another piece was cut and molded to look like hatband, complete with a silver buckle.

“This cake!!!! Unreal!!!” she writes on the photos.

Hallie made sure to tag the cake designer, @amycakes7, in the photo. The Oklahoma-based baker also made the couple’s wedding cake.

Amy is a popular and talented cake baker. She’s been featured in People magazine and has been used by the Pioneer Woman for some special moments: She made wedding cakes for Ree Drummond’s daughters, Alex and Paige.

How Many Kids Does Parker McCollum Have?

McCollum and his wife Hallie have one child. Their son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, was born on Aug. 8, 2024.

In addition to the cowboy hat cake, Major’s guests enjoyed sheet cake with “Major’s First Rodeo” written across it and nibbled on cowboy-themed cookies.

Just about everything had “Major’s First Rodeo” printed on it, including signs, cookies, cups and more.

The bar served kid-friendly drinks that were also rodeo themed: A strawberry lemonade called Lil’ Lasso Lemonade and a Shirley temple called Tumbleweed Temple.

“Thank you to everyone who made this day so special! Can’t believe we have a one year old!!!!” Hallie says.
