Does everybody know what time it is? It’s time for a Home Improvement reunion!
Thanks to Tim Allen’s new show Shifting Gears, fans of the 1990s show will get to see some of their favorites back on the same screen once again.
Deadline reports that Richard Karn, Patricia Richardson and Debbe Dunning will be appearing in Season 2 of the series.
In fact, all three will have a role in the season premiere, set for Oct. 1 on ABC.
Details about their specific characters have yet to be revealed, but the publication reports they will all help out Allen’s character Matt “in an unexpected way.”
The show shared a fun video teasing the reunion on social media.
What Is Tim Allen’s Show Shifting Gears About?
Not only does Allen star in Shifting Gears, he also serves as an executive producer on the show.
Allen plays a widowed father named Matt Parker who experiences an unexpected turn of events when his estranged daughter shows up on his doorstep with her two kids.
Kat Dennings plays the role of his daughter Riley, who is down on her luck and is looking for her father to help her get her footing again.
Which Characters from Home Improvement Will Appear on Shifting Gears?
Richardson, Karn and Dunning each had recurring roles on Home Improvement alongside Allen who starred as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor.
Richardson played as Allen’s on-screen wife, Jill Taylor.
Karn played Allen’s trusty television sidekick, Al Borland, who was known for his signature plaid shirts. The two hosted their own show within the sitcom called, Tool Time, with Borland on the receiving end of many of the jokes.
Dunning was also a part of the fictional series, playing the tool men’s beautiful assistant named Heidi. She replaced Pamela Anderson, who played a similar character named Lisa for the first three seasons.
