In fact, a major kickoff event in New York City was totally eclipsed by headlines focused on diner outrage and plummeting stock prices.
Which Country Singer Is in the Cracker Barrel Commercial?
That’s Jordan Davis pulling a fork from a pot pie as he touts that, “Cracker Barrel is all about more.” His song “Ain’t Enough Road” plays in the background as he continues the pitch.
He was actually announced in the company’s Tuesday press release, and he offered a quote about how Cracker Barrel values line up with his own.
This video would be sent to his social media platforms with little expectation that it’d become a lightning rod for criticism.
Who Is Jordan Davis?
Jordan Davis has been one of country music’s most dependable hitmakers since his debut single “Singles You Up” dropped in 2017. He has five No. 1 songs on the Billboard Country Airplay chart — his best-known are probably “Buy Dirt” and “Next Thing You Know.”
The Louisiana native is married with four kids. He and wife Kristen just welcomed daughter Sadie Davis on July 2, giving him four under age five.
Davis also has a brother named Jacob who is an accomplished songwriter.
Cracker Barrel and Country Music
For years, Cracker Barrel would distribute country albums under the Cracker Barrel Music label. Alan Jackson, Craig Morgan and the Oak Ridge Boys are a few who participated, but the most famous was Dolly Parton, who in 2016 released a version of her song “Jolene” with a cappella group Pentatonix.
The would go on to win a Grammy in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category.
Stores have continued to carry and sell CDs from famous country singers. It’s not clear if the new vision will include physical albums any longer.
