“Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X was arraigned on four felony charges after last week’s incident involving police in California.
The singer and rapper (real name Montero Lamar Hill) was hospitalized, then arrested on Ventura Blvd. in Los Angeles on Thursday morning (Aug. 21).
He was allegedly naked when police approached him. The charges suggest he did not go peacefully.
TMZ now reports that he’s been charged with four felonies, including three counts of battery with injury to a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. These charges were added after his initial arrest, which was for misdemeanor obstructing an officer charges.
On Monday afternoon (Aug. 25), he pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $75,000.

What Happened to Lil Nas X?
TMZ initially shared video of Lil Nas X wearing only underwear and boots as he walked down Ventura Blvd., but they’d later allege he was fully naked.
A few pedestrians speculated drugs may have played a role in what happened, but in reporting the news nobody has offered more than speculation to this point.
The incident occurred around 4AM. The rapper is said to have told some people he was on his way to a party.
This continues an unpredictable 2025 for Hill. Earlier this week, he wiped his Instagram clean and began adding colorful teasers. A clip from a new song called “Black Horse” also appeared, as did one featuring Lil Jon that was titled “Kimbo.”
Lil Nas X has an album called Dreamboy planned for 2025.
This activity followed several months of silence since being hospitalized in April with partial facial paralysis.

While “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus was Lil Nas X’s massive breakthrough, he’s scored several other hits. “Panini,” “Rodeo” with Cardi B, “Montero” and “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow all charted high on Billboard charts.
Country fans know him best for his debut, however: He recorded a popular collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus and took the CMA for Music Event of the Year in 2019.
