Cardi B has claimed that she previously turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Speaking to Billboard, Cardi said she would be more up for the gig now than when she was asked previously.
She said: “What year I got asked to do the Super Bowl? I’m not sure if it was 2019, 2018, and I denied. But I’m glad. I feel like soon. If I get to do it, I feel like I’m going to have more hits, and I feel like I’m going to be more experienced. And hey, I’mma eat that up.”
The “WAP” rapper also recently called out female rappers for always beefing with each other.
She said: “No lie, these bitches be catty. You can’t prevent a bitch from being shady. Sometimes bitches want to see what you’re about. They want to test you and they want to test your gangsta.”
Cardi added: “A lot of the bitches will come in this game and feel like they can challenge you. Some bitches like to die young. In this game, you need to really know who you’re challenging.”
She also talked about female rappers that she had felt betrayed by: “Sometimes you got to let bitches learn on their own. I have to because there were so many bitches that I’ve sat down and given advice from the heart. Like, if I see people bullying you because of whatever the fuck, I’m going to go in your DMs and give you advice.
“But sometimes I got to really hold myself [back] and say, ‘No, bitch. Don’t do it,’ because these bitches turned their backs on me, fucked my man, talked about me and somebody told me about it.”
Cardi recently called out the alleged jealousy she receives from other female rappers.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Cardi addressed her standing in the rap game and the reactions she receives from some of her contemporaries.
He said: “For some reason, it’s something about me that these bitches can’t stand.
“They can’t fuck with me. Some bitches, I feel like they’re on this class right now, they’re sophomores, and I’m a senior. And it’s like you want to fuck with the senior so bad. You think you’re here with the senior. You’re not even a junior.”
